Leave your hotel around 8:00 am, for a short drive to the Corobicí River, passing through savannas and ranch farms. About one hour later, you will arrive to one of the most exotic places to see tropical birds that will mark the beginning of another day in the exhuberances of the tropics. Corobicí River is used to drain the Arenal Lake, which garantees planty of water to navegate on it. Three hours on a safe raft, floating down the river, where incredible birds will delight your sight. Some of the birds possible to see on this trip are: Snowy Egret, Tricolored Heron, Roseate Spoonbill, Black Headed Trogon, Turquise Browed Motmot, Boat Bill Heron, among others. Reventazón River Class III

The Pacuare river offers a trip of unsurpassed beauty for the more advanced rafter. Travelling through a remote tropical canyon, past numerous waterfalls and rapids, this rafting trip is pure magic.

Pacuare River Class IV
Duration: 2 days / 1 night
Location: Cartago
DAY 1 - We will pick you up at your hotel shortly after 07:00 a.m. (Exact pick up time depends on your location). Guides and guests will drive eats, over the continental divide, through Cartago to the town of Paraiso. We will stop there and have a hearty breakfast.
Our bus ride of a little over an hour and a half from breakfast takes us through the town of Turrialba to the little town of "TRES EQUIS". At the road head there, we will transfer our overnight gear (see list) into dry bags, load our rafts on top of the truck and ride about 4 km. to the river.
Once on the water, we work as a team to run our rafts through Class III rapids, each one bigger than the one before it!! We will have lunch on the river and our overnight gear and food will be transported with us to camp by our guides in oared rafts.
Our camp is in the heart of the rainforest. We provide you with tents, comfortable sleeping pads, light blankets and a delicious happy hour and dinner. A traditional Indian "RANCHO" provides exceptional shelter for the evening's activities. And, don't forget to take some time in the waterfall that cascades out of the forest, through our camp, and into the Pacuare itself!! You will never forget the experience of camping in the forest.
DAY 2 - After early morning coffee and breakfast, we break camp and head down river. Morning is wonderful time for birdwatching, specially toucans, right in camp. Back into the whitewater as soon as we put in. Class III and IV rapids await us downstream. Terciopelo, Double Drop, The Huacas...one after the next until take out. Depending on the weather, the river level, and our group interest, we take time to explore side creeds, catch a sun tan and enjoy world class whitewater.
We will make it to take out by mid-afternoon, de-rig our rafts, and head to a local watering hole to dry out and celebrate the day. The drive back to San José is through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, offering tremendous mountain views. You can plan to be back in your hotel between 5 and 6 p.m.

Pacuare River Class IV
Duration: 3 days / 2 nights
Location: Cartago
DAY 1: RIO PACUARE, A RIVER OF PURE MAGIC - This trip will take us from San José to the beautiful, scenic, and endangered (by proposed hydroelectric plant) Pacuare River. This is a class III-IV river. After a stop for breakfast we will put in and head downstream to our river side campsite. The six miles of paddling down this quintessential tropical river, will give us the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the steep, technical drops typical of the Pacuare. This is a river of unsurpassed beauty, exuberant wildlife and ravishing rapids. Both lunch and dinner will be served on the river bank. Once we will be snuggling up in our sleeping bags for an evening under the stars of the tropical sky.
DAY 2: THROUGH THE RAINFOREST - Today will be devoted to hiking around this beautiful campsite which is immersed in a tropical rainforest. Here your naturalist guides will have the chance to really explain to you the marvels of Nature's Master Piece which surround you. There will be time to bathe in the refreshing pools that the creeks offer. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also at the campsite. Tonight will be another night of camping under the stars.
DAY 3: GORGE OF THE PACUARE - On this day we enter the magical, lush, virgin gorge of the Pacuare. The rapids take on a more powerful personality. Beautiful waterfalls tumble down into the river and wildlife abounds. We might even be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of some of the exotic birds and animals that inhabit this jungle area. The take out is near the town of Siquirres and then we will head back to the city of San José.

Parrita River Class II
Duration: 7 Hours
Location: Parrita
The Parrita River, comes from the Mountains of Bustamante, and is one of the beautiful rivers of Costa Rica. During the Rainy season from july to november we use six man rafts. When the rain stops in december to june, we start to use DUKIES, this boat s for two people, will give you little more action now that the rivers are low in water.
Requirements: Ability to paddle and have fun.

Río Naranjo Class III
Duration: 7 Hours
Location: Puntarenas
During the months between April trough November the Rio Naranjo offers a more serious challenge to experinced rafters. Only a half hour form Quepos, we launch our rafts at the spectacular spice farn right below the unrunable "Labyrinth section". The next couple of hours are non-stop action through rapids such as Zig-Zags, London Bridge and Holy Cows. Top Quality six man U-paddle rafts with expert guides and safety kayakers.
